A useful fit for

Best for quick, isolated carpet or upholstery spots where an outlet is inconvenient and the owner is willing to work within a small-tank session and recharge window.

The main tradeoff

The 16-ounce clean tank and 13.5-ounce recovery tank suit small jobs rather than broad room cleaning, and the four-hour charge plus inability to run while charging makes it less ready for back-to-back sessions than a corded portable.

Your needs, this model

Does it fit your priorities?

Must the cleaner work without a power cord during use?

The exact 4015 listing identifies it as rechargeable cordless; the manual says it cannot run while its charger is connected.

Can the portable route meet a 16-ounce clean-tank requirement?

The Little Green Mini Cordless 4015 is a rechargeable spot extractor for small carpet and upholstery messes where getting a cord to the job is awkward. Its compact package combines a 16-ounce clean tank, 13.5-ounce recovery tank, 4-foot hose and 4-inch Tough Stain Tool. That makes it a portable stain tool, not a substitute for a push-style carpet washer or an unlimited cordless cleaner.

A cordless tool with two different run-time patterns

The 4015 manual separates Standard from BatteryBoost+. Standard runs the motor at its highest suction setting and is listed for up to 15 minutes. In BatteryBoost+, the motor idles while the tool is off the surface and ramps up when it makes contact; the manufacturer lists up to 20 minutes while assuming the surface is engaged for 53% of the time. Treat those as different operating routines, not as a promise of 20 minutes of continuous high suction. Recharging takes four hours, and the machine cannot be switched on while its charger is connected. That distinction matters if the spill is urgent: the battery needs to be ready before a job starts.

The supplied HydroRinse tool is part of the cleaning plan too. The guide says to use it after every use, with the machine upright and on, holding its trigger for 30 seconds, then empty the dirty tank. This is a useful included cleanup step, but it does not remove the work of emptying and rinsing the recovery tank or letting the tools dry.

Small tanks set the scale

A 16-ounce clean tank is suited to a few localized passes, not a whole carpeted room. The separate dirty tank holds 13.5 ounces; stop and empty it at the MAX line rather than waiting for the clean tank to be used up. The 7-pound listed weight and 4-foot hose keep the main unit portable, though the short hose still means bringing the body close to a seat, stair tread, pet bed or small rug. Cordless use removes the cord-positioning problem, not the need to refill, empty and charge.

For an isolated car-seat mark, a small upholstery spot or a stair stain, the 4-inch Tough Stain Tool gives the hand-operated route: spray solution, release the trigger, gently scrub, then pull the tool over the spot with the spray released to recover liquid. It is not a powered brush floor head, a dry vacuum, or a steam cleaner. The page lists an 8-ounce bottle of Little Green Oxy formula in the 4015 box. Use only compatible BISSELL portable-machine formula; the guide limits fill water to warm tap water at 140°F or less and says not to use boiling water or heat water in a microwave.

Surface choice and after-use care still matter

Before wet cleaning, the instructions say to vacuum loose dirt. On upholstery, work in small sections and check the item's care label before applying moisture; a portable extractor does not make every fabric washable. Avoid treating the machine's nominal tank size as a guarantee that a given stain or surface is appropriate. Test a hidden area when care guidance allows, use the intended formula, and let the cleaned material dry according to its own instructions.

The included HydroRinse tool improves hose cleanup, but the manual still calls for emptying the recovery tank at its MAX line, rinsing the tank with warm water, and removing and rinsing tools. Store the machine indoors in a dry, room-temperature place. These steps make the small cleaner less of a "grab it and forget it" appliance than its size may suggest; its owner still has a short cleanup routine after each wet job.

Choose by the job, not just the green housing

Compared with the corded Little Green Mini 4075, the 4015 trades the cord for battery planning. Both exact model records list a 16-ounce clean tank, but only the 4015 is documented as rechargeable cordless. If a plug is always nearby and you prefer not to wait four hours between sessions, compare the corded version's own length and package details rather than assuming the tools are interchangeable.

The Little Green Cordless 3682 is a more suitable comparison when you want a cordless portable but need a larger clean tank: its own listing specifies 33.8 ounces, versus 16 ounces here. It is not simply the same configuration with a renamed shell, so compare the exact model and listed kit. If you need routine whole-room washing, choose a real upright floor-head model instead; the 4015's hose, tank and handheld tool cannot fill that role.

In short, the 4015 fits occasional targeted cleaning away from an outlet when a full charge is part of the routine. Its useful differentiators are cordless operation, a genuinely compact tank and an included hose-rinse tool. Those same small capacities and the four-hour recharge make it the wrong fit for larger jobs, repeated cleaning rounds, or anyone who needs a cleaner that can work while plugged in.
