Large room-carpet choices

Choose Mighty Pro, Big Green or motion-controlled washing

Large carpet cleaners can differ more in how they move and what is supplied than in the size of the bottle beside them. Compare the solution batch, cleaning stroke and furniture tools before choosing an upright for a whole-room job.

Mighty Pro X3: a large premixed batch and backward strokes

The Rug Doctor Mighty Pro X3 has a documented three-US-gallon lower tank, equivalent to 384 US fluid ounces. Mix the permitted solution separately, fill to the guide's indication and operate the spray button while pulling backward. Forward travel repositions the machine for another cleaning stroke.

The 90010 carton includes Oxy formula; the 90011 Pet Pack substitutes pet formula. Both currently sell the upholstery tool separately. Choose between those packages around the cleaning solution, not an assumed difference in the machine or supplied furniture capability. A three-gallon tank also means substantial liquid can be on board; confirm the actual handling arrangement before planning stairs or tight storage.

Big Green 86T3: a smaller batch with supplied hose capability

The BISSELL Big Green 86T3 lists a 1.75-US-gallon clean tank, or 224 fluid ounces, and supplies a nine-foot hose with a six-inch Tough Stain Tool. It is the more complete of these two standard cartons when compatible upholstery work must be available without adding a separately sold hose attachment.

Its published forty-two-pound dry weight still needs attention before liquid is added. Decide where the machine will remain while a hose reaches the job, and follow its own controls and cleaning instructions. A smaller nominal tank does not automatically mean an easier object to carry or a faster job.

SmartWash+: choose the movement routine

Hoover SmartWash+ FH52000V documents automatic washing during forward movement and extraction during backward movement. Its current supplied package also names an eight-foot hose and a small tool. That routine can suit someone who prefers movement-controlled application over holding the Mighty Pro's spray button during a backward wash stroke.

Do not transfer dimensions or tank figures from an older Hoover suffix to settle a tight room or lifting limit. Choose the documented control and tool arrangement first, then establish any exact numerical constraint that remains essential.

Match the actual job, then the capacity

  • Choose Mighty Pro X3 for a large permitted carpet batch when backward washing and separate solution preparation suit the operator.
  • Choose Big Green 86T3 when its documented tank, hose and six-inch tool make a supplied carpet-and-upholstery package useful.
  • Choose SmartWash+ when forward-wash/back-extract control is a central preference and its supplied hose meets the task.

For all three, the carpet and upholstery care instructions take priority over capacity. A larger tank does not permit extra wet passes on a material that retains too much water. A formula bottle, cleaning width and recovery volume are different measurements. Plan separate dry vacuuming, suitable power, a safe movement route, waste emptying and enough drying time before starting.

Put the cleaning task and package together.
