Your needs, this model
Does it fit your priorities?
Can the portable route support localized work on suitable upholstery?
Hoover identifies FH11300 as a portable carpet and upholstery cleaner with an included hand tool.

Both the current table capacity and hose-cleaning feature are documented.
Explore this need in the finder →Does Hoover's less-than-nine-pound statement satisfy a nine-pound maximum alongside a 14-foot cord?
The page states under nine pounds and lists a 14-foot cord; the exact machine mass remains unpublished.
Explore this need in the finder →The Hoover Spotless FH11300 is a corded portable extractor for isolated carpet marks, stairs and suitable upholstery. Its 51-ounce clean-water tank, five-foot hose and hand tool make it a different proposition from a compact upright: bring the small body to the work rather than pushing a floor head around a room. It can clean a spot on carpet, but Hoover does not position it as a whole-room floor washer.
A portable route with useful, measurable limits
Hoover's current US table identifies FH11300 and lists a 51-ounce clean tank, a 36-ounce recovery tank, a five-foot hose, a 14-foot cord and a product weight below nine pounds. It also lists a dual-tank arrangement, a ready-to-use hose, a 420-watt motor and UL safety rating. The weight is a manufacturer-stated upper bound, not an exact dry measurement. For a maximum-weight choice of nine pounds it meets the stated ceiling; use a stricter number only after checking a more precise specification.
Tank volume is useful for planning, not a guarantee of a fixed number of stains. The manual provides small- and large-job fill marks, recommends the formula amounts printed for those fills, and warns against excessive detergent. Its large water fill is about 0.4 gallon, consistent with the page's rounded 51-ounce capacity; the recovery tank has its own smaller limit and should be watched independently. This is a better fit for repeated spots than a tiny-tank mini, while still requiring refills and dirty-water emptying for a broad area.
The hose-rinse feature does not clean every wet part
The exact FH11300 page documents an integrated hose-cleaning port that flushes dirt and debris from the hose after use. The manual separately tells you to empty and rinse the recovery tank, clean the tools and let parts dry. Treat the port as a cleanup aid for the hose—not a self-cleaning cycle for the entire machine and not a substitute for tank care.
Use warm water within Hoover's instructions; the manual says not to use water above 140°F and not to boil or microwave it. It describes manually adding solution to the clean tank, then applying and extracting with the selected hand tool. There is no supported claim of an integrated liquid heater, steam mode or automatic formula proportioning. The cleaner is not a dry vacuum and must not be used on hard floors.
Check material permissions before treating a sofa
Hoover's guide says to wet-clean upholstery marked W or W/S, not fabric marked S-only. Test a hidden patch with a damp white cloth, wait ten minutes and check for color transfer before treating the visible area. The manual also cautions that Berber, natural-fiber and soft-fiber carpets can fuzz; test an inconspicuous area and follow the carpet maker's care advice. Use dry extraction strokes and ventilation, and keep people and pets off the carpet until it is completely dry.
FH11300's current product materials describe a multi-purpose pet tool and trial-size formula. There is a package detail worth checking at delivery: the hero image shows a bottle marked six fluid ounces, while the current specification list names four-ounce gel and eight-ounce solution samples. The machine identity is clear, but the image and text do not agree on the exact formula bottle shown. I do not treat that image as proof of the present carton contents or promise a specific sample size.
What a portable can and cannot replace
For a car seat or a single sofa cushion, the short hose and body under nine pounds may be easier to place than an upright. For many rooms, a floor washer is a better operating plan; a hand tool is slower to sweep across broad carpet and the five-foot hose still needs a safe base position. Keep the cleaner on the floor rather than on a stair or chair, and plan the 14-foot cord to the outlet without stretching it across a wet route.
The CleanSlate Pet FH14000V is another portable route with its own 40-ounce tank and 4.5-foot hose; the larger CleanSlate XL changes the capacity again. The Spotless Mini FH12300 is the smaller-tank option. Do not transfer an attachment, hose length or tank figure between these models because they share a Spotless or Hoover label.
When your answers should keep or remove it
Choose portable format and an included upholstery task to keep FH11300 in view; a room-only floor-head requirement should remove it. A 51-ounce clean-tank minimum, five-foot hose minimum or 14-foot cord minimum meets the listed boundaries, while a stricter requirement does not. It meets a nine-pound maximum based on Hoover's “less than nine” statement. A requirement for hose flushing is supported by the integrated port. Hard-floor permission, steam, heated liquid, automatic mixing and a room-sized floor head are not.
