Your needs, this model

Does it fit your priorities?

Can the clean tank meet a 192-fluid-ounce requirement?

The exact offer and linked guide specify 1.5 US gallons of clean water, equal to 192 US fluid ounces. The separate recovery tank is not added to that figure.

Does manual spray work in both directions without becoming automatic washing?

The guide permits held-button forward and backward wet passes; releasing the button selects extraction. It is different from motion-controlled dispensing.

Does the standard Pro Deep carton include a supplied upholstery route?

No. The exact current 90028 offer sells the motorized upholstery attachment separately; the supplied floor machine does not satisfy an upholstery requirement.

The Rug Doctor Pro Deep 90028 is a room-carpet extractor for someone who wants manually controlled forward-and-back cleaning, a substantial premixed batch and removable tanks carried together in a caddy. It differs from the backward-stroke Mighty Pro X3, and its motorized upholstery tool is sold separately.

Buy the floor machine for a floor-cleaning routine

The current US offer supplies the Pro Deep machine and a 48-ounce bottle of Oxy carpet-cleaning solution. Its description names the compatible motorized upholstery attachment, but explicitly makes that a separate purchase. A front hose port or a Tool setting therefore does not make the standard carton a complete sofa-cleaning package.

If a sofa, pet bed or stair tread is part of every session, compare the TruDeep 90115's supplied upholstery equipment before budgeting for Pro Deep and another attachment. If small spots dominate, a portable extractor can avoid moving an upright body just to reach one cushion. Pro Deep makes more sense when room carpet is the recurring job and hand-tool work is a separately planned addition.

A one-and-a-half-gallon clean batch

The exact current page and linked guide give a 1.5-US-gallon clean-water tank, equivalent to 192 US fluid ounces. The separate recovery tank has the same stated capacity. These are different containers with different purposes; their combined volume is not the amount of clean solution ready for a washing session.

That clean batch is twice TruDeep's nominal water volume and half the Mighty Pro X3's three gallons. The middle capacity can suit someone who finds very small batches interruptive but does not want to prepare the larger quantity for a limited room. No tank size by itself establishes coverage in square feet: spray duration, carpet and the work you repeat all affect consumption.

Formula is measured with the cap and added to the water. Choose this routine if you are comfortable preparing the prescribed mixture, rather than expecting a separate concentrate reservoir to meter itself during cleaning.

Forward and backward does not mean automatic dispensing

The operating guide permits held-button wet passes in both directions, followed by passes with the button released for extraction. That is a practical departure from the Mighty Pro's backward wash stroke. You can work the room with a more familiar back-and-forth movement, while still deciding when to apply liquid.

The Hoover SmartWash FH52000V provides a different control arrangement: ordinary forward movement washes and backward movement extracts. Compare that if the dispensing decision itself is the chore you want to simplify. Pro Deep's two-direction washing does not provide the same directional automation.

Follow the guide's stricter limits for looped and other moisture-sensitive carpet. Its general two-direction sequence is not permission to keep adding wet passes to a stubborn mark. Check the carpet maker's instructions and test the material before starting; let the carpet dry before deciding whether more work is appropriate.

The warning lights help you stop for a reason

Pro Deep has separate solution-empty and brush-jam indicators. The empty-solution warning is a cue to stop and refill, rather than keep the pump running. A brush jam needs the machine switched off and unplugged before access. The lights identify particular problems; they do not establish automatic stain detection, automatic dosing or a self-cleaning cycle.

Before filling the tank, clear loose objects and use a separate dry vacuum. This extractor is not a dry-debris vacuum or a flood-recovery machine. Its material exclusions also rule out treating every rug or natural-fiber surface as an acceptable target simply because the machine looks similar to a rental cleaner.

Check the carrying routine before choosing a storage spot

The removable caddy lets both tanks travel together for filling and emptying, and the main handle folds down for storage. Those features are useful when the utility area is near the cleaning room. A caddy holding two tanks can still be a substantial load, so decide whether carrying tanks separately is more practical for your route.

Exact current dry machine weight, cord length and floor-head cleaning width remain unconfirmed in these sources. Confirm them if stairs or a particular room layout decide the purchase. Choose Pro Deep for a 192-fluid-ounce clean batch and manual two-direction washing. Choose Mighty Pro for a larger floor batch, TruDeep for supplied upholstery equipment, or SmartWash when movement-controlled dispensing is the priority.
