Your needs, this model
Does it fit your priorities?
Can a named pet tool coexist with room and upholstery work?
The EX201B written carton names a Pet Tool and the underlying floor-and-hose package.
Explore this need in the finder →Can automatic floor washing use a ten-inch path?
The underlying EX201 path and motion-controlled washing are documented; above-floor use is separate.
Explore this need in the finder →Can this bundle meet a 22.71-pound carrying limit?
That higher published underlying-machine value governs until the lower bundle table is reconciled.
Explore this need in the finder →The Shark EX201B Deep Clean Pro Formula package combines the named CarpetXpert EX201 upright with extra solution and a written Pet Tool inclusion. It is a room-carpet and suitable-upholstery option for someone who wants the exact bundle equipment. The current base EX201 page names a seven-inch Wide Path Tool instead, so comparing only the bottle size can miss the difference that matters at a stain.
Choose the carton around the hand-tool job
The EX201B box list names the CarpetXpert machine, starter Deep Clean Pro and OXY solutions, a 3.5-inch reversible-bristle tool, Pet Tool, integrated crevice tool and quick-start guide. An additional 48-ounce Deep Clean Pro bottle is listed separately in the same package. The base page's wide tool should not be assumed to arrive as an extra alongside the bundle's Pet Tool.
The smaller stain tool can work around a cushion edge or localized carpet mark. The crevice route helps in narrow accessible spaces. A specifically named pet attachment is relevant when that equipment is the reason for purchasing, but check its actual type and instructions before treating a particular mess. A short box-list label alone should not be expanded into every Pet Mess Extractor feature offered elsewhere in Shark's range.
One body supports two cleaning arrangements
The upright floor path is ten inches, and the confirmed power cord is twenty feet. Those specifications are useful for room planning: clear the working area, arrange the cord safely and leave a route out before wetting carpet. The floor head avoids the repeated kneeling that would be needed to cover a room with a portable hand tool.
The EX200/EX201 guide describes automatic dispensing on the forward floor pass and suction without fresh spray on the return. Above-floor work uses the hose and an appropriate supplied tool. These are separate operating arrangements. Automatic floor dispensing does not move the hand tool for you, and it does not decide whether a particular upholstered material permits wet cleaning.
Know which reservoir feeds the job
The CarpetXpert mixture is used for the broad floor-washing route. StainStriker combines the prescribed components during hand-tool stain treatment. Having both reservoirs on the machine does not establish that OXY is added to every carpet-head pass. Prepare each reservoir according to its instructions and do not combine every supplied bottle into one tank.
The extra Deep Clean Pro supply may reduce how soon you need to obtain that particular refill. It does not increase tank capacity, extend the cord or replace the OXY component used in its separate route. Judge the consumable addition against the kinds of sessions you expect to perform, rather than treating a larger package as a stronger machine.
The lower bundle weight is unresolved
The bundle table lists the underlying EX201 at 18.1 pounds; the current base table lists 22.71 pounds. Their dimensions also differ. This assessment uses the higher published weight for carrying decisions until the exact assembly is confirmed. Do not buy the bundle as a lighter variant on the assumption that the extra formula somehow changes the body.
The guide illustrates a hose-cleaning attachment, but the current written bundle list does not explicitly name one. If that inclusion is essential, ask for the exact carton contents. In either case, the recovery tank, filter, tools and brush area still need their prescribed cleaning and drying routine. Leave room for those components to air-dry outside a closed cupboard.
Best suited to a specific mixed workload
Choose EX201B for compatible room carpet plus furniture work when the documented Pet Tool and extra Deep Clean Pro supply fit your routine. Choose the base EX201 if its confirmed wide stain tool is the more useful inclusion. Both require a material check, and the official pages exclude wool.
For a documented hair attachment and onboard hose-cleanout system, compare EX301 or its separately listed EX301B configuration. For mostly furniture and small carpet patches, a portable such as PX201 avoids storing and carrying the upright floor assembly. For floor-only work, EX502 keeps the package focused on that job.
