Hoover compact routes

Hoover compact floor washer or portable Spotless?

The Hoover PowerDash Pet Advanced FH55000V and Spotless FH11300 both address small-to-medium household messes, but they start from opposite ends of the job. One is a compact upright with a floor head and a separate hose tool. The other is a portable body built around a hand-held extractor. Choose by where the cleaning head must travel, not by “compact” or “pet” in the name.

Start with the surface route

Choose FH55000V if you expect to wash carpet by pushing a floor head and also want a supplied two-in-one pet tool for occasional stairs or suitable upholstery. The exact package lists an eight-foot hose and a 20-foot cord. Its owner guide describes manual trigger-controlled wet and recovery strokes; it does not switch solution automatically with walking direction.

Choose FH11300 when the machine itself needs to come to a sofa, stair landing or small spill. Hoover lists a 51-ounce clean tank, 36-ounce recovery tank, five-foot hose, 14-foot cord and weight below nine pounds. The integrated hose-cleaning port is useful after a hand-tool session. Its short hose and portable format are not a substitute for a push-style head across a whole room.

Do not infer a larger tank or longer session

FH55000V's tank capacity is not stated in the current product table, so a questionnaire requiring a known gallon count should not return it on the strength of an upright silhouette or a family manual. FH11300 publishes nominal fill capacity and small/large fill marks, but no stated cleaning-time or number-of-spots promise. Formula concentration, recovery capacity, soil level and technique all change how much work one fill supports.

FH55000V's guide says to vacuum carpet and upholstery first; both manuals require careful material checks and drying passes. The portable FH11300 manual restricts upholstery to W or W/S fabrics, warns against hard floors, and requires a hidden colorfastness test. FH55000V also needs material testing; its manual says the base remains on the floor or at the bottom of stairs rather than on furniture. Neither product page turns HeatForce into a measured drying guarantee, and neither advertises steam cleaning.

When another Hoover makes more sense

For a sofa-first buyer who wants a separate tool assortment, compare the CleanSlate Pet FH14000V; its current 40-ounce clean tank and 4.5-foot hose make a different capacity/reach compromise. If very small occasional marks are the norm, the Spotless Mini FH12300 keeps the portable format but has a smaller 16-ounce tank. For an upright with automatic forward-wash/backward-recovery control, examine the SmartWash+; that routine is not shared by either compact model here.

If a single purchase must clean room carpet and upholstery, FH55000V can support both in separate sessions because its exact page includes a floor route and a hand tool. FH11300 supports localized carpet spots and upholstery with a hose, but not a pushed floor-head route. If you require a verified tank size, exact machine mass, hard-floor permission or a specific hose-flush feature, make that a hard constraint: an unknown capability should remove a model, not be filled in from another Hoover's specifications.
