Tank capacity and reach: plan the actual job

Tank capacity tells you about refilling; hose and cord lengths help plan access. None of them is a stand-alone cleaning score.

Use the exact current package

The current CleanSlate Pet FH14000V table gives a 40 ounce clean tank. CleanSlate XL FH15000V gives 96 ounces. Older family descriptions may use different numbers, so a current exact-model table is more useful than a familiar title.

The clean and dirty sides have independent fill limits. A large clean reservoir does not mean the recovery tank accepts the same volume. Follow the actual tank indicators, and remember that carried water adds weight beyond the stated dry machine figure.

Conservative numbers are useful near a boundary

The 1400B page describes a 4.5 foot hose in prose and a 4 foot hose in its specification table. Our finder uses 4 feet. If an extra six inches determines whether you can reach the work, obtain confirmation rather than assuming the longer figure.

The Spotless Mini Pet page does not bridge every numeric field from the ordinary Mini. Missing capacity or reach remains unconfirmed. A particular cupboard opening or outlet route deserves a model-specific measurement.

Measure the real route

The cord runs from the outlet to the base. The hose runs from a safely positioned base to the tool. Furniture bends, doorways and the permitted resting position consume reach. Adding both nominal lengths does not establish one unobstructed line to a car or stair.

Choose where the base will sit, then check the route and the room needed to move the hand tool. For stairs, follow the exact placement instructions rather than putting a heavy filled machine on a narrow surface to gain reach.

Use the optional numerical requirements only for limits that determine the purchase. Leaving an arbitrary minimum blank preserves useful alternatives.

Put the cleaning task and package together.
