Your needs, this model
Does it fit your priorities?
Can floor steam and formula coexist with one-gallon clean capacity?
The SteamWash floor route and nominal 128-fluid-ounce clean tank are documented.
Explore this need in the finder →Can its hose-cleanout route meet twenty-two dry pounds?
Self-Cleaning Tough Stain Tool cleanout is documented; the higher conflicting weight of twenty-two pounds governs.
Explore this need in the finder →Can one package cover room carpet and compatible upholstery?
The floor head and supplied hand tools support separate sessions, with seven feet of hose.
Explore this need in the finder →The Revolution HydroSteam 4123 combines an eleven-inch carpet head, a documented one-gallon clean tank and a removable debris tray with a steam-assisted floor method. It is a distinct current package from the 3432 HydroSteam. Compare the exact hose, cord, brush and tool arrangement rather than assuming the shared name makes them interchangeable.
A straightforward floor steam sequence
The manual separates Steam Pretreat from SteamWash Max Clean. Pretreat applies steam while the brush and vacuum motor remain off; the hose cannot be used in that mode. SteamWash then combines water, formula and steam through the carpet-cleaning head. You control wet application with the trigger and make recovery passes with it released.
That is not automatic wash-and-extract operation triggered solely by pushing and pulling. Choose the mode for the actual mess and material, following the manual's restrictions on heat-sensitive surfaces and pretreating blood or urine. The steam feature does not authorize every rug fiber or a delicate textile. Vacuum loose dry debris before starting the wet-cleaning stage.
Carpet steam and upholstery washing remain separate jobs
The guide explicitly limits the hose to water and formula, without steam. It supports suitable furniture and stair extraction, but it cannot satisfy a requirement for steam delivered through an upholstery hand tool. Even when the machine's switch is in its SteamWash position during hose use, the fluid path at the attachment is different.
If hand-tool steam is essential, compare an appropriately equipped Little Green HydroSteam 3618 or 3605F exclusive bundle. If room carpet steam plus ordinary furniture washing covers the work, the 4123's broader floor head is the more relevant feature. This is a choice of cleaning route, not simply a choice between two steam labels.
The current tools add a useful cleanout routine
The exact box list identifies a four-inch Self-Cleaning Tough Stain Tool, its rubber-nub version and a Spraying Crevice Tool. The instructions explain changing the bristle or rubberized block for the intended job. That is different from promising a separately named two-in-one Pet Upholstery Tool merely because the specification groups an attachment under Pet Tools.
The tool's cleanout setting flushes mixture through the tool and hose. Afterward, the recovery assembly still needs emptying and rinsing. The removable Catch & Clean Tray is another distinct feature: it catches accessible debris for removal and rinsing. It should not be confused with an included powered self-cleaning floor tray.
Capacity and reach are well-defined, weight needs caution
The page lists one gallon for clean capacity, equivalent to 128 US fluid ounces, and one gallon for dirty nominal capacity. Follow the actual filling and recovery marks rather than using those figures as a mixing recipe. The guide provides a smaller-area filling option as well, useful when preparing for less than a whole-room session.
The dry-weight table says twenty pounds, while another specification block on the same page says twenty-two. Use twenty-two pounds as the cautious carrying comparison until the exact current unit is confirmed. Added liquid increases the load further. If a strict maximum below that decides the purchase, confirm the supplied configuration rather than relying on the lower of the two statements.
The seven-foot hose and twenty-foot cord are shorter than the eight-foot hose and twenty-five-foot cord listed for the 3432. Plan the machine's safe parking place near a suitable outlet before starting. Keep it on a stable level surface during hose work and reposition deliberately when the next section goes out of reach.
Who should choose the 4123?
Choose it for SteamWash carpet cleaning, a documented one-gallon clean tank and the current stain-tool and removable-debris-tray arrangement. Choose the 3432 when its longer stated reach and actual carton tools better suit your home. Choose a TurboClean Pet XL 3746 for ordinary extraction with a lower published dry weight. The 4123 makes sense when its specific floor method and cleanup design answer recurring work, with enough space and time for tank care and drying.

| Operating routine | Exact US 4123: one-gallon clean and dirty tanks, seven-foot hose, twenty-foot cord and eleven-inch path. The current table’s twenty-pound figure conflicts with twenty-two elsewhere, so twenty-two is used for carrying limits. The box lists a self-cleaning stain tool, rubber block and spraying crevice tool. Catch & Clean is a removable debris tray. |
| After-cleaning care | Follow the exact material, mode and tool instructions. Rinsing a hose does not replace emptying and drying the recovery assembly. |
